Fall Season Field Improvements and Partnership
TJ Flag Football Fall Season Update
TJ Flag Football will not hold a Fall 2026 season while our fields undergo an important renovation. The playing surfaces will be professionally leveled and reseeded, giving the grass the time it needs to establish properly before players return.
Although we will miss seeing everyone on the fields this fall, this project is a significant investment in the future of our league and the safety of our athletes.
Why These Improvements Matter
Leveling and reseeding the fields will provide several long-term benefits:
- A smoother, more consistent playing surface
- Fewer holes, ruts, and uneven areas that could cause trips or injuries
- Improved drainage after heavy rain
- Less standing water and mud
- Healthier, stronger grass that can better withstand practices and games
- A safer and more enjoyable experience for every player
Allowing the fields to rest throughout the fall will give the new seed the best opportunity to take root and create a durable playing surface for the spring and beyond. It may mean taking one season off, but the payoff should benefit TJ Flag Football players for many seasons to come.
Looking for a Place to Play This Fall?
We know many of our athletes will still be eager to play football this fall, so we are excited to partner with WPA Flag Football in Monessen to provide our families with another option.
WPA Flag Football offers our players an opportunity to continue developing their skills, competing, and enjoying the game while our fields are being improved.
