Divisions are based on current school grade level, which best aligns players with their peers socially and developmentally while simplifying registration and team formation.
Current divisions are as follows:
K–2 Division (coed)
Introduction to flag football fundamentals including basic rules, ball handling, running routes, and defensive positioning. Emphasis is on learning, confidence, and fun. Scores and standings may be deemphasized.
3–4 Division (separate boys and girls)
Continued development of core skills including passing, catching, route concepts, and flag pulling. Players begin learning basic offensive and defensive formations with an increased focus on game flow and teamwork.
5–6 Division (separate boys and girls)
Competitive developmental play with expanded playbooks, advanced route concepts, and defensive strategies. Players are expected to understand rules, spacing, and situational football.
7–8 Division (separate boys and girls)
Middle school level flag football featuring higher pace, increased strategy, and refined execution. Emphasis is placed on sportsmanship, accountability, and preparing athletes for higher levels of play.
9–12 Division (Girls Only. Must be under 18 years old)
Offered when participation numbers allow. This division is intended for high school aged athletes seeking skill development, recreation, or supplemental competition outside of school programs.
